    Solar Eclipse and Where You Can See It
    On August 21st, there will be a partial solar eclipse viewable around Canada. If you happen to be travelling through the United States, in some parts you will be able to see a total eclipse. There will be 74% coverage in Thunder Bay and it will last from 12:52 pm to 3:28 pm.
     
    A few locations where you can catch sight of the partial eclipse:
     

    Ontario Science Centre

     
    August 21, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    TELUSCAPE, outside the Main Entrance
    Free admission for outdoor activities
    Parking is $10 per vehicle (Member discounts apply)
    Eclipse begins: 1:10 p.m. | Eclipse maximum: 2:32 p.m. | Eclipse ends: 3:49 p.m.

    Admission is free for everyone.

    Explore the universe with members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Telescopes will be set up to safely view the solar eclipse.

    Come see the partial solar eclipse with us at the Richmond Hill Library.
     
    Be sure you get a pair of solar eclipse viewing sunglasses! Even though the sun will be mostly covered by the moon, the rays that are visible could still damage your eyes and eyesight. You will want to be able to see the next day!
