Available positions at Smith's RV Centre


Smith’s RV Centre has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Parts Manager reporting to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining a profitable bottom line per budget to ensure the continued growth and survival of the dealership. Most importantly, they will manage, develop, and sustain a high level of employee performance and morale that results in a fulfilling and productive work environment.  Furthermore, the candidate will maintain and control inventory in ways that achieve and meet the needs of the over-the-counter customer and the service department.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish, communicate, monitor, and adjust the department budget goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Assure the parts and accessories department is properly staffed by recruiting, hiring, and promoting the right people for the right positions
  • Establish pricing guidelines to achieve targeted profits
  • Establish and maintain a parts and accessories order process that achieves defined balance between profits and inventory turns
  • Makes sure employees are being effectively managed and coached on a daily basis to maximize productivity and morale
  • Optimize employee performance by making sure ongoing evaluations, recognition, rewards, and discipline/corrective-management produce expected results
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory by controlling shrinkage and obsolescence
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve strong profits
  • Develop and implement a successful marketing and merchandising plan
  • Establish an internal communication system to ensure intradepartmental coordination and accountability
  • Effectively control the receiving and notification process
  • Strengthen employee performance through timely training and development

Smith's RV Centre has an exciting opportunity for a full-time RV Technician reporting to the Service Manager.  The successful candidate will achieve agreed upon productivity and efficiency goals - to benefit both the customers and the company.  Additionally, they will effectively comply with all safety, tool(s), and job-related protocol, to ensure a clean, safe work environment.


Seeking candidates with a valid RV1 Propane Certification. 


Salary range between $20-28/hour with efficiency bonus opportunities up to an additional $14/hour. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Successfully completes assigned jobs in an efficient manner
  • Completes and processes all paperwork for each assignment in a timely, consistent and accurate manner
  • Participates in required training and also takes personal initiative to stay up-to-date on relevant service knowledge, bulletins, and other changes with regards to new and existing products
  • Appropriately assists other technicians when required
  • Follows all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance protocols, policies, and requirements
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Provides and maintains the hand tools required to efficiently complete assigned work
