Available positions at Smith's RV Centre

WARRANTY WRITER

Smith’s RV Centre has an exciting opportunity for an additional Warranty Writer, reporting to the Service Manager, to join our growing Service Team.  We are looking for a strong communicator that finds job satisfaction perfecting every task through self directed processes and procedures.  A career in Warranty Writing is motivating for people looking for predictable accomplishments achieved through a steady-paced, precise approach.

 

The position requires the successful completion of all warranty claims in a timely manner to ensure efficient and effective claims receipt.  Warranty Writing is detail oriented and accuracy is paramount when creating and submitting claims with all of our vendors.  In addition to claim submission you will also have to monitor, communicate and resolve outstanding warranty claims. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Submits all warranty claims within agreed upon timeframes
  • Accurately collects and transfers all warranty information to the claim application
  • Ensures that parts are included with claim submission when required
  • Effectively works with the Service Manager to complete all warranty related activities
  • Ensures required authorizations are approved when appropriate
  • Follows the processing and payment of all warranty claims in a timely manner
  • Researches and resolves claims not paid in full by the manufacturer
  • Regularly reviews the warranty-aging and receivables report with management to keep all warranty claims under 90 days
  • Effectively works with other personnel to ensure accurate and timely warranty claims
  • Understands and follows the established repair order process through to its satisfactory and timely completion
  • Effectively keeps customers informed and updated of the repair status of their unit
  • Stays current on product information such as recalls, service bulletins and warranty guidelines
 

Experience working in warranty is preferred.

LOT TECHNICIAN (SEASONAL)

Smith’s RV has an immediate opportunity for a seasonal Lot Technician reporting to the Shop Coordinator. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and operate best in a structured environment with routine practices.  The career will require hands on involvement in the implementation of tasks and projects through job lists.   

 

Smith's RV Centre also requires the successful candidate to have a valid G level driver's license.

 

Key responsibilities:

 
  • Complete assigned tasks associated with getting sold products ready for customer demonstrations and pick up
  • Understand how and where to organize and locate inventory and service products
  • Operates, maintains and accounts for company equipment and vehicles for safety, longevity and appearance
  • Effectively maintains products so they maintain value and appeal for customers
  • Efficiently assembles and or sets up products for sale as required by the sales department
  • Updates inventory location and communicates through proper channels
  • Maintains building and yard for safety and appearance
  • Completes opening and closing duties as required

DETAILER / CLEANER (SEASONAL)

Smith’s RV has an opportunity for a full time seasonal Detailer / Cleaner to join our team.  We are looking for someone who loves the details and can work independently.  Our customers deserve a sparkling clean store and great pride can be taken when a customer marvels at their clean new trailer or boat.  This position plays a large role in the support of our Excellence through achieving exceptional results for ourselves and our customers.  This is primarily done through displayed commitment to achieve superior results by focusing on clear priorities.   The existing cleaner will train and show what is expected from every task and the service coordinator will follow up and support as necessary.

 

Valid G driver's licence preferred.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned tasks associated with getting sold products ready for customer demonstration & pickup
  • Maintains building and yard for safety, longevity and appearance
  • Effectively maintains products available for sale so they maintain value and appeal for customers
  • Maintains company equipment & vehicles for safety, longevity and appearance
  • Completes various other duties as required
 

Specific tasks include:

  • Routine mopping, sweeping, dusting throughout the store and shop paying particular attention to the parts and sales showrooms
  • Detailed interior cleaning and exterior washing of all sold units to prepare for customer delivery
  • Used unit reconditioning to prepare units for sale
  • Cleaning and detailing of parts and sales  inventory to ensure it is attractive and ready for sale
  • Cleaning of offices, bathrooms, garbage collection, etc.
  • Indoor and outdoor work can be enjoyed depending on the weather
